KOMEN FOR THE CURE $5 from every ticket sold from Thursday, August 27 – Sunday, August 30 will go to support breast cancer awareness in Arkansas LITTLE ROCK, AR – Celebrity Attractions is teaming up with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to raise funds during a 4-day MAMMA MIA! ticket presale event to find a cure for breast cancer. Five dollars from every ticket sold will go to the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help in the fight against breast cancer. A check will be presented to the organization on opening night of MAMMA MIA! at the Robinson Center Music Hall on October 6th. ABOUT SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Arkansas Affiliate of Komen for the Cure is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. Through fund raising events like this, the Arkansas Affiliate has invested over $8.5 million in community breast health programs in our 63 county service area. Up to 75% of the net proceeds generated by the Arkansas Affiliate stays in Arkansas. The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.
